On the 6th of September 2007, Saraswati International Education and Welfare Foundation was created in the city of Bangalore with a view towards establishing an organization which would continue the work done by Saraswati Online.com in a more permanent and measured manner.

There has been a long-felt need to have one organization with chapters in different countries and friends allover the globe which would effectively be a shoulder to lean on for foreign students when the need should arise.

Saraswati Online.com India Limited, the parent company has itself admitted many hundreds of students to various courses in India as well as abroad, particularly in China and now the Philippines. Stepping forward from the act of merely facilitating admissions, this Foundation will in future, provide a platform for free flow of ideas, systems and practices; conducting exams; and providing certification where required; while initiating and establishing inter-university cooperation thereby benefiting the students and thereby creating a large alumni network which will take its work to new levels.

On the 6th of September Its mission statement embraces the need to "initiate and establish education exchange programs among all the countries of the world. To foster friendship and peace through the exchange of young minds. To extend academic and non academic support to Indian students studying abroad & foreign students studying in India".

It is headed by Dr. Partha Sarathi Ganguli as Founder Trustee; Dr. Amit Kumar Bose; and Mrs.Vanita Ganguli as Member Trustees. Dr.Partha Sarathi Ganguli, being the author of the foundation will be its key advisor leading it with his vast experience in the field of education and providing the necessary input to propel it towards achieving its vision.

The Foundation already has a support base of over 1500 students and parents, many of who are eminent personalities in their own right. Lawyers, Academicians, Doctors, Engineers, Homemakers and every segment of society is adequately represented. This foundation will provide all members an opportunity to contribute with the aim to encourage and support, the children who are studying so far away from their home countries.

SIEWF will also give scholarships and grants to meritorious students and will enhance & enlarge the scope of its activities to provide meaningful inputs into the academic scenario abroad as well as in India.
