The Master of Business Administration Degree for foreign students is to train high-level specialized personnel in all kinds of enterprises and various areas, including marketing management, financial management, strategy management, production management, technological innovation management, human resources management, and investment decision management.

Generally the Master of Business Administration Degree is a two and a two year full time postgraduate program. The period for academic courses study is usually one and half years. The remaining 6 months is for the internship, project work, dissertions etc. The credit system is carried out during the academic study period, and the total credits are no less than 36, including 18-20 credits for required core courses. Furthermore, 2 credits for practical operations, and 4 credits for document summarization and thesis proposal report. Chinese language is a required course of study. The Chinese language level in HSK is above Band 3.

Before writing the thesis, students should carry out an investigation on the areas of their selected topics, and put the results of investigation into their thesis proposal reports. Postgraduates should take part in the activities organized by their advisers, e.g. enterprise diagnosis, area development, industrial development consultation, etc.. The time for practical operations is 150 hours.

During the school years, all the students should actively write and put forward papers on their fields or their related fields in Chinese or foreign academic publications or academic conferences, and should also take active part in research tasks undertaken by their advisers. The topic of master’s degree thesis should be of theoretic significance or important application prospects. The combination of theory with practice and quality with quantity should be embodied in the academic thesis. The related research situations at home and abroad should be summarized in the thesis, and the reference documents listed at the end of the thesis should be no less than 40 pieces.

The heuristic and deliberative methods of education are to be adopted, and students are required to attend necessary academic lectures, academic reports, seminars, social practice and investigation. During their school years, postgraduates should positively attend academic conferences on or outside campus.
